1. About SEO Mate
SEO Mate provides search engine optimization (SEO) tools. The Google Search Console Analyzer helps users review performance information from Google Search Console and create summaries and reports. This policy applies to the SEO Mate website and the tools covered by it.
2. Information the Analyzer Accesses
If you choose to connect your Google account, the analyzer requests read-only access to Google Search Console through Google's authorization process. Depending on your permissions and selected property, the tool may access:
- Search Console properties available to your Google account.
- Search performance information, such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and average position.
- Performance report data needed to display metrics, filters, comparisons, and insights you request.
The analyzer uses the Google Search Console read-only permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly). It does not request permission to edit your Search Console properties.
3. How We Use Information
Google Search Console data is used to provide the functionality you request, including displaying performance metrics, calculating summaries, filtering results, identifying trends, and exporting reports. The tool is not intended to use Google user data for advertising, selling data, or unrelated profiling.
If you upload a CSV file, its contents are used to provide the analysis or export features you select. Please avoid uploading files containing information that is not necessary for the requested analysis.
4. How Data Is Processed and Stored
The analyzer is designed to request Search Console information from Google and process report results in your browser. Its authorization flow uses an access token to make authorized requests. In the current client-side design, the token is held in browser memory for the active page session rather than intentionally saved by SEO Mate to a persistent database.
CSV files selected for analysis are processed by the tool in the browser. Do not rely on this statement if your deployed version uses a backend, analytics service, persistent browser storage, server-side logs, or other services that receive or retain this information. If those services are enabled, this section must be updated to explain what they receive, why, and for how long.
Google may process data under its own privacy terms when you use Google services and APIs. Please review Google's privacy information for details about Google's handling of data.
5. When Information Is Shared
SEO Mate does not sell Google user data. To provide the analyzer, your browser sends authorized requests to Google Search Console APIs. SEO Mate does not intentionally disclose Google Search Console data to other third parties for their own independent use.
If the website or tool is configured to use third-party hosting, monitoring, analytics, logging, or other service providers that receive personal information or Google user data, those providers and the information shared with them must be disclosed here. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to address security, fraud, or misuse.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
SEO Mate does not intend to maintain a separate database of Search Console report data in the client-side analyzer. Report data held in page memory is generally cleared when the page is reloaded or closed, subject to browser behavior. Downloaded exports are saved by you to your chosen location and are under your control.
If a deployed version stores data in a database, logs, backups, browser storage, or another service, its actual retention period and deletion process must be stated here. You can stop future API access by revoking the application's Google access as described below.
7. Security
SEO Mate uses Google's authorization flow and requests read-only Search Console access for the analyzer. You should access the website over HTTPS, protect your Google account, and use trusted devices. No website or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Revoking Google Access
You can revoke SEO Mate's access from your Google Account's third-party connections or security settings. After revocation, the analyzer will no longer be able to make authorized Search Console requests using that access. You may also disconnect or stop using the tool at any time.
9. Your Choices
- You decide whether to connect a Google account.
- You can decline Google authorization and use features that do not require it.
- You can choose which CSV files to upload and which reports to export.
- You can contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning information handled by SEO Mate.
10. Children's Privacy
SEO Mate's tools are intended for general website and professional use and are not directed at children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to SEO Mate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, tools, or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Please review this page periodically.
